Azure Antoinette

Poet, Actor, Speaker, Entrepreneur, Educator

Azure Antoinette is a commissioned poet, actor, TED Speaker, GRAMMY™ Considered recording artist, entrepreneur, and arts education advocate. Forbes named her the "Maya Angelou of the millennial generation," in the highly acclaimed Most Powerful Women in the World Issue. She wears many hats:

Azure was first “discovered” on the international stage of the Women's Conference with a commission by former First Lady of California Maria Shriver. She has been the closing keynote for the TEDWomen Conference in San Francisco and has spoken at numerous TEDx events across the country, in addition to sharing stages with bestselling authors and celebrities like Elizabeth Gilbert, Maria Shriver, and Lady Gaga.

Some of her recent and notable speaking engagements include GLAAD’s Georgia Voter Initiative, L’Oreal, National Poetry Month Live, Geffen Academy at UCLA, and many more.

She has also been a spokesperson for Clean & Clear, The GAP, and Beats by Dr. Dre, among others, and she has been commissioned to write for the Girl Scouts of America, Johnson & Johnson, California Arts Council, American Cancer Society's benefit Art 4 Life, and many more.

As an actor, Azure appeared in a recurring character on ABC’s juggernaut medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. Her character’s first episode aired on April 1, 2021. This was a particularly important role to Azure personally, as she played a character who is living with MS, as Azure is herself.

In addition to all of the above, Azure is the founder and CEO of TELLER Ventures Ltd., a multi-brand startup that curates a cohesive operating platform for her two loves: Entertainment and Business. The brands of TELLER Ventures Ltd. Include: The Office of Azure Antoinette (her personal speaking brand), the NOIR Foundation (an organization dedicated to creating equity and financial stability for the next generation of Black life), the TELL(h)ER Summit (an events network of authors, media professionals, entrepreneurs, artists, chefs, engineers, spiritual leaders, scientists, and more), and Ticonderoga Press (her in-house press for poetry and literary works).
