Dr. Keegan Walden is a psychologist and executive coach who works with startup founders and corporate executives on the inner work of company building. This means using the immense strain of the role as a vehicle for personal and leadership growth, looking within to identify and resolve challenges that may have originated in childhood.
His first book will be a practical guide that shows founders how to go through the death and rebirth process of a startup, working with their psychological defenses and challenging personality traits to make the most of the founder hero’s journey. It is due to be published by Simon Acumen, the business imprint of Simon & Schuster, in late 2026.
Keegan is an alumnus of Y Combinator, the world's leading technology incubator. He has a Ph.D. in Clinical and Personality Psychology from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University. Keegan lives in Northern California with his wife, Ann, two children, and at least one Rhodesian Ridgeback at all times.
