HGTV’s “Good Bones,” Contractor
Thadeus, lovingly called Tad, on HGTV’s hit show Good Bones was born on the Westside of Indianapolis. He is among the proudest of Hoosiers and loves his Indiana roots. When Tad was twelve years old, he lost his mother to a drug addiction. The years that followed were dark, until he found several outlets to let light back into his life. This included demolition and construction, thanks to his step father, Leonard. Like any kid will do when presented with a good role model, he grew up wanting to be like his stepfather-a strong, hardworking, man of integrity. At the age of 17, Tad got his first construction job and has since found a sense of cathartic release through manual labor, and the energy it extolled from him. It is from that mindset that he continued to expand his construction experience from demolition to framing, cabinet install, flooring, tile, etc. These skills have given him immense gratification in seeing his handy-work come alive, knowing that what he is building will soon become someone’s home. Along with a strong work ethic, Tad has always believed that being a kind, compassionate person can get one the furthest in life. It is his free spirited nature that has made him a popular fixture on Good Bones, pulling in 13 million views each season. Season 7 will be airing on HGTV this Spring and Tad is already busy filming season 8. At the ripe age of 27, he has also been featured on HGTV’s digital series Small Space, Big Potential, Rock the Block, and is now a Real Estate Agent and General Contractor.
